Privacy Policy

Account Information

When you create a Flowze account, we collect your name, email address, and (optionally) a profile photo. If you sign in with Google, we receive the profile data authorized by your Google account.

Financial Data

Flowze stores the expenses, budgets, and categories you create. This data is stored on your device (Hive local storage) and, if you enable cloud backup, synced to your private Firestore database — accessible only to you.

Usage Data

We collect anonymized analytics events (e.g. feature used, screen viewed) to improve the app. These events never include your financial amounts or personal notes.

Device Data

We collect basic device information (OS version, app version) for crash reporting and performance monitoring via Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance.

Providing the Service

Your data is used solely to operate Flowze — syncing expenses across devices, sending budget alerts, and generating your personal reports.

Improving the App

Anonymized, aggregated analytics help us understand which features are most valuable and where the app can be improved.

Communications

We may send you transactional emails (password reset, account security) and, with your consent, product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Cloud Storage

When cloud backup is enabled, your data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore — encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Each user's data is isolated behind Firestore Security Rules that restrict access to the authenticated account owner only.

Local Storage

Expense data is also stored locally on your device using Hive (encrypted). Sensitive preferences (biometric settings) are stored using Flutter Secure Storage.

Biometric Data

Flowze uses your device's built-in biometric system (Face ID / fingerprint) for authentication. We never access or store raw biometric data — the authentication is handled entirely by your device's secure enclave.

Google AdMob

The free version of Flowze displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your advertising ID to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads on iOS / Settings → Google → Ads on Android).

Premium Users

If you subscribe to Flowze Premium, no ads are displayed and no advertising data is collected.

Services Used

Flowze integrates with: Google Firebase (auth, database, analytics, crash reporting), Google Sign-In, Google AdMob, and Google Play Billing. Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com.

No Data Selling

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

Access & Portability

You can export all your expense data at any time from Settings → Export Data (CSV or PDF format).

Correction

You can edit or correct your profile information at any time from within the app.

Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. See our Account Deletion page for details. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

GDPR / CCPA

If you are located in the European Union or California, you have additional rights including the right to restriction of processing and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us at the email below to exercise these rights.

Flowze is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via an in-app notification and by updating the 'Last updated' date below. Continued use of Flowze after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
